Complete renovation of the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, in Manama, Bahrain, will be concluded well in time for next year’s Formula One Grand Prix.

The first renovation phase of the 246-room city centre property is already complete, and the second phase - which includes two new restaurants - is due for completion early next year.

The completed phase one extends to four new exclusive room designs, as well as the opening of new restaurant, Olivos Brasserie, which provides 24-hour Mediterranean cuisine, and features the most extensive buffet in Manama.

Guests can choose from elegant ‘Classic’ rooms, which impart a traditional feel, or ‘Maritime’ rooms, reminiscent of the glamourous days of luxury ocean travel.
The hotel’s ‘Italian’ rooms are designed for those who love the avant-garde while three floors of ‘Royal Club’ executive rooms offer the ultimate in luxury. Royal Club guests can enjoy a separate reception for express check-in and out; a private lounge and exclusive business benefits.

“Phase two encompasses two new outlets - a sophisticated Italian restaurant - ‘Mondo’, and a poolside Polynesian-style restaurant and bar, Kontiki. These new venues are complemented by the popular Al Fanar Supper Club.

“We anticipate heavy demand for first class rooms during the Formula One event, said general manager, Mark Willis.
