Grand Hyatt takes over Cairo hotel

The Grant Hyatt Cairo

Hyatt International has assumed the management of the former Royal Nile Tower hotel, under the name of Grand Hyatt Cairo.  The introduction of the hotel marks Hyatt International Hotels and Resorts entry into Egypt’s capital, following the successful launch of Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh and Hyatt Regency Taba Heights in 2000.

“Launching Grand Hyatt Cairo is a momentous achievement for Hyatt International,” said Hyatt International senior vice-president Europe-Africa-Middle East, Andre Pury, speaking from the Nile-view lobby of the hotel.

“Cairo is not only one of the leading cities of the Middle East, but one of the greatest cities in the world. In addition to its hundreds of phenomenal world heritage sites, it is a very active center for political and economic activity that continues to gain importance in the regional and global community. For that reason, we consider it an honor to operate in Cairo.”

“Our guests will begin to observe the visible and tangible transformation that follows the change in name and management,” said Grand Hyatt Cairo general manager Garry Friend.
Grand Hyatt Cairo enjoys a perfect and quiet riverside location on El Roda Island, a perfect central location within the business and commercial district, very close to Cairo’s many cultural and tourist attractions.

In addition to 714 guestrooms and suites with private balconies offering views of the Nile, the 41-storey hotel offers a selection of over 12 restaurants, bars and lounges, including the highest revolving restaurant in the Middle East.

To meet all event-hosting requirements, Grand Hyatt Cairo boasts more than 3,000 square meters of meeting and function space spanning five ballrooms, three executive boardrooms, and several outdoor venues able to accommodate up to 1,200 guests. The hotel also features a 500 square meter health club offering a fully equipped gymnasium, a 340 square meter swimming pool, and spa services including sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi as well as body and facial treatments.
