The InterContinental Heliopolis and the Holiday Inn Hotel are due to be opened in Egypt next year.

Thomas Hiberath, general manager of the Intercontinental and Holiday Inn Hotels in the exciting CITYSTARS project, said it was a great honour for CITYSTARS and Intercontinental to be participating together at the MTF 2003.

“We are determined to work hand in hand with the tourism industry to achieve one and the same goal; driving Egypt into becoming one of the top tourist destinations in the world,” he said.

The 790-room 5-star Intercontinental, Heliopolis will be the 10th Six Continent Hotel to open in Egypt.

The main building has 533 elegantly furnished deluxe rooms and suites. Alongside the pool area will be 73 pool-facing family rooms and the Intercontinental Tower will have 184 suites with up to 5 bedrooms each.

The 3000 sq m Wellness Centre will feature squash courts, an indoor hydro pool, Sauna, Fitness and aerobic studios, and the finest massage and treatment rooms any hotel has to offer.

Eight restaurants and bars will cater to the most discerning customers, a discotheque, a nightclub and a casino add to the variety of dining and entertainment experiences.

The core of the Intercontinental, Heliopolis is the conference, meeting, and ballroom facilities. There will be 12 seminar and conference rooms each with a capacity ranging between 10 to 400 delegates as well as a magnificent 2400 sq m ballroom.

The 330 room four-star Holiday Inn Hotel is due to open towards next summer and will feature all the facilities for the modem traveller.
