Hilton extends Egypt portfolio

International hotel group Hilton will extend its hotel portfolio in Egypt's Sharm El Sheikh resort destination with the opening of the new 305-room Hilton Shark Bay Resort in November this year.

A management agreement was signed recently presided over the owner of the Shark Bay resort and Hilton International vice president for Middle East, Jean-Paul Herzog.

The seafront Hilton Shark Bay Resort is directly accessible to one of the best snorkeling and diving spots in Sharm El Sheikh facing Tiran Island. It is a 10 minute drive from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport.

Hilton Shark Bay will be the first Hilton in Egypt to follow the increasing trend of "all-inclusive" vacation with food throughout the day and local beverages (mineral water, soft drinks, local beers and wine as well as local cocktails).

The Hilton Shark Bay is heavily sports oriented and most sports facilities are part of the all-inclusive. Motor sports and diving lessons and excursions are payable.

Hilton Shark Bay will include a main restaurant and an Italian restaurant, a variety of bars and cafes by the pool, in the lobby, by the beach , a snack bar and a sunset bar. Leisure and sports facilities will feature a health club with sauna, massage, steam, gym room and aerobic. Recreation will also include a large swimming pool, heated in winter, two EPDM tennis courts, two clay tennis courts, one amphitheater, two air-conditioned squash courts, basketball court and two beach volleyball courts.

A special corner is dedicated to children with their own pool, air-conditioned playroom and professional supervision.
