DWTC convention centre visited


The publisher of one of European magazines for meetings, fairs and incentives, Klaus J Ruppert, called upon the DWTCto view its facilities.

He was given a comprehensive tour of the complex, including the new Dubai International Convention Centre.

Ruppert was thoroughly impressed with the facility and stated, "This is one of the most impressive exhibition and convention centres we have visited in recent years.

"The diverse options it offers on site from exhibition space and venue management capabilities to catering and banqueting as well as accommodation within the complex should make it a meeting planner's delight."

The publisher was accompanied on the site tour by Christina Feyereke, international sales director of Events magazine and they were given a wide-ranging briefing about the venue by DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad.

"The media plays a central role in building awareness of the facilities a new venue has to offer, and events together with the online, connect with a prime audience of national tourist offices, convention bureaus, congress centres, locations, meeting hotels, destination management companies, professional conference organisers and event agencies among others," said Bin Fahad.

Bin Fahad added that the DWTC has been responsible for the development of the exhibition business in the Middle East region for more than two decades and with the addition of DICC, it offers an even broader range of unique venues, function rooms.
