For the second consecutive year British Airways has won Best European Airline serving the Middle East at the 2003 Business Traveller Middle East Awards. The airline also walked away with the award for Best Frequent Flyer Programme in the Middle East, chalking up two top honours at one of the region's most prestigious industry awards.

The ceremony was held during a luncheon at the Emirates Towers Hotel where Steve Allen, British Airways area manager for Southern Gulf, Central Asia and Levant accepted both awards.

At the ceremony Steve Allen said: "In challenging times like these winning both these awards is very rewarding as it highlights that our customer's recognise the superior duality of the products and services we offer."

"We are also delighted at winning the best Frequent Flyer Programme award. Our Executive Club frequent flyer programme is one of the most successful in the world and we have recently announced plans to re-launch the programme from July 1, 2003. The re-launch will introduce a series of changes that will make the already successful Executive Club programme simpler, with mare ways to spend BA Miles and better incentive for loyal customers."
