Sofitel City Centre Hotel in Dubai has presented Emirates Holidays with a special award for its success last year as one of the hotel's top 10 producers of bed nights.
The Emirates Group's tour company, better known for inclusive vacations from Dubai, also offers vacations for overseas visitors to the emirate. Manuel Garcia, director of sales and yield at Sofitel City Centre Hotel Dubai, presented the award to Timothy LaneScott, marketing manager for the Middle East region at Emirates Holidays, in recognition of 'outstanding support' last year. Garcia said: "Emirates Holidays increased the number of room nights at our hotel by 10 per cent last year, a significant rise considering the challenging business climate and reflecting the strong partnership between our two companies". John Felix, general manager at Emirates Holidays, said: "This shows clearly our commitment to bringing the world to Dubai. Our outbound holidays enjoy a strong reputation. We are one of Dubai's largest inbound tour operators - bringing both holidaymakers on their way through Dubai and also visitors wishing to come to a top-class destination". "In Dubai, we offer customers the very best standards and an unforgettable visit to a remarkable tourism destination, thus fulfilling our pledge to help Dubai attract 15 million visitors a year by 2010", Felix added.
