Thai to launch Gulf services

Thai Airways International (Thai) is to begin flying to Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, this month.

The airline also said it would also launch flights to Xiamen, Geneva and Chittagong.

A service to Johannesburg will start next year under a joint agreement with South African Airways.

"This move is part of Thai's network expansion plan to cover key destinations around the world," airline president Kanok Abhiradee said in a statement.

"Thailand can cater to the tastes of the world."
