Gulf Air has announced two new senior appointments in its customer services division.
Reporting directly to the head of customer services at Gulf Air, the new managers will coordinate the airline's regional customer services in Asia and Pacific, plus Europe and Africa. "The new appointments will ensure that our vision of excellent customer service is implemented across the various regions in which we operate," said Luke Medley, vice president services. Rashid Khan has been appointed as regional customer service manager - Asia and Pacific. Lorna Dalziel is the new Regional Customer Service Manager - Europe and Africa. The airline has also announced four new senior appointments in its finance division corporate accounting department. The new managers, who will report directly to the corporate accounting head, have been selected to provide key skills required in the rebuilding process. The new accounting operations manager is Isa Yousif Jamal. He will be responsible for all head office accounts and payroll accounting and administration. Accounts administration manager Anwar Ahmed's role will include maintaining the general ledger, issuing budget instructions and administering the budget in the general ledger and reviewing applications for capital expenditure. Management information manager Sudarasan Vachaspathi will insure that all the internal and external financial reporting requirements of the company are met. Andre Wium is the new accounting systems manager and will be responsible for maintaining the financial accounting and reporting systems. Meanwhile, Mahfoud Ali Alharthy has taken over as the carrier's new general manager for the UAE. Alharthy has been with the airline for 17 years during which he held various posts including as area manager in various Asian stations.
