Synergi Global Travel Management, a joint venture enterprise of travel management companies in business centres around the world, was at the Arabian Travel Market to look for other partners in the region.

The US incorporated company operating in 54 countries is associated with Al Futtaim Travel in the UAE.

"Besides the UAE, we are already operational in Lebanon, Egypt and Saudi Arabia," said Steve Lovato, Synergi senior vice-president, Asia/Pacific and the Middle East.

"Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan are the remaining important markets for our customer base."

Rated among the top five global professional travel management companies, Synergi established a regional headquarters in Dubai to serve its affiliates in the region.

Previously, this area was part of the company's Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

"The market here is exciting and vibrant but yet to see its full potential tapped for the corporate market," says Lovato.

"Value that Synergi provides is access to international network of offices in over 50 countries for en-route travel assistance. We provide sophisticated travel management information reporting, regional or global, as well as specially negotiated air and hotel rates that would not be generally available to local agencies."
