SalamAir celebrates launch of flights to Erbil, Damascus

SalamAir celebrated its expanding regional network with new routes from Muscat to Erbil and Damascus. Flights to Erbil will begin on October 25, 2026, while services to Damascus will launch on October 28, marking the first time an Omani airline has operated the route.

Accor and KRD Holding have signed an agreement to develop Mövenpick Erbil Gomaspan Resort, a 150-key lakeside property in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region scheduled to open in 2030.

SalamAir launches direct Muscat-Erbil service

SalamAir has opened ticket sales for a new direct service between Muscat and Erbil, with flights set to begin on October 25, 2026. The twice-weekly route will make Erbil the Omani low-cost carrier’s second destination in Iraq, following Baghdad.
