Abu Dhabi Airports has appointed Carsten Nørland as its new Chief Commercial Officer. He brings over 20 years of experience in aviation, infrastructure, and FMCG. Most recently, Nørland was CEO of Scandlines and previously held senior roles at Royal Unibrew and Copenhagen Airport.

Anantara World Islands Resort has appointed Suresh Ferdinandusz as Director of Operations. He spent the last six years at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, playing a pivotal role in elevating the property’s food and beverage offering. Ferdinandusz brings over 20 years’ experience in luxury hospitality.  

Meltem Erbay has been appointed as Director of Operations at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island. The seasoned hotelier brings over 25 years of experience. Erbay has worked with multiple properties including Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail and Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus. 

Atlantis Dubai has promoted Dean Walsh to Executive Director  of Sales. 

In his new role, he will lead the global leisure market growth for both Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal. Prior to this, Walsh was Director of Sales at Atlantis Dubai.

Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, have appointed Moustafa ElGayar as Director of Food & Beverage. He brings over 17 years’ experience in hospitality, with a proven track record of enhancing dining concepts. Prior to this, ElGayar worked at Towers Rotana Dubai.

The Ned Doha has strengthened its F&B leadership team with two key appointments to elevate its culinary offerings and enhance guest experiences across its nine restaurants. Martin Cahill has been appointed Executive Chef. He brings over 25 years’ global gastronomy experience, having led kitchens in luxury hotels and fine-dining restaurants across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. Fabrizio Corbo has been appointed Restaurant Manager of Cecconi’s. He brings over 20 years’ international hospitality experience and a passion for Italian dining. Corbo has worked across Europe and Latin America, creating authentic guest experiences.  

RoyalJet has appointed Mohammed Bin Mahfoodh Alardhi as Chairman of the Board. He is also the Executive Chairman of Investcorp. Prior to taking top posts in various businesses, Alardhi was previously the youngest and longest-serving Chief of the Oman Air Force.
