Accor has appointed Evan Harrington as Cluster General Manager for Movenpick Resort Al Marjan Island and Pullman Hotels and Resorts Al Marjan Island. He brings nearly 20 years of experience across brands including Pullman, Hilton Garden Inn, DoubleTree, Radisson Collection, and Fairmont.

Raffles Jeddah has appointed Ahmed Jarkass as Director of Sales and Marketing ahead of its opening. He brings over 20 years of regional luxury hospitality experience and most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer at Wujha Real Estate Development in Saudi Arabia. 

Sofitel Dubai Downtown has promoted Ahmed Saleh to Commercial & Marketing Director. He joined the hotel in 2024 and most recently served as Director of Revenue. This followed a year of record-breaking sales and revenue performance driven by his data-led strategy and strong commercial foresight. 

Hyatt has appointed Tamara Lohan as Global Brand Leader – Luxury (interim).

She previously co-founded and led the award-winning luxury hotel platform Mr & Mrs Smith for over two decades, before its acquisition by Hyatt in 2023. Lohan brings deep expertise in luxury personalisation and consumer insights. 

The Sani/Ikos Group has appointed Mohamed Wakeb as Regional Director GCC, based in Dubai. A seasoned hospitality leader, he brings extensive regional experience. Wakeb has previously held senior leadership roles in the UAE, including leading pre-opening teams for major hospitality developments.

Accor has appointed Ugur Talayhan as General Manager of Fairmont The Palm. He brings over 30 years of international hospitality experience and most recently served as Country Manager at Rotana. His career includes senior leadership roles with Accor, Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and FRHI.

Marriott International has appointed Maria Turkmani as Multi-Property Marketing & PR Manager for Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf and Marriott Executive Apartments Al Jaddaf and Dubai Creek. She brings over 10 years of experience and was most recently PR & Marketing Manager at Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection.

Mohamad Ali Shaikh has been appointed as the Cluster Operations Manager of Accor Waterfront Properties, Dubai Deira and Dubai Gold District. He brings nearly 20 years of hospitality experience and most recently served as Director of Operations at Novotel Bur Dubai.
