Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) and INJAZ Bahrain have signed a strategic partnership agreement to strengthen youth development, expand career opportunities and connect young Bahrainis with the Kingdom’s growing meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) sector.
The agreement was
signed by Aage Hansen, General Manager of EWB, and Hana Sarwani, CEO of INJAZ
Bahrain, in the presence of Sara Buhejji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and
Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Chairperson of EWB.
The signing took place
at EWB on the sidelines of the 93rd UFI Global Congress.
The partnership aims
to bridge the gap between education and industry by combining EWB’s expertise
in venue management and international business events with INJAZ Bahrain’s
youth development and employment programmes.
The collaboration will
focus on three key areas: industry exposure through career site visits, career
development and youth integration into EWB events, and exploring opportunities
to host future Junior Achievement (JA) regional and global events in Bahrain.
Shaikha Hessa bint
Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, said: "Our partnership
with EWB creates valuable pathways for young Bahrainis to connect classroom
learning with real-world experience. Together, we are empowering youth with the
skills, confidence, and industry exposure they need to succeed."
Buhejji said investing
in young Bahrainis represents an investment in the future of the events
industry and the wider economy. She highlighted the partnership's potential to
provide practical industry exposure, mentorship and career opportunities.
Under the agreement,
INJAZ Bahrain participants will have access to structured career walks and site
visits at EWB, offering first-hand insight into venue operations and the range
of career opportunities available across the MICE sector.
The partnership will
also explore merit-based internship opportunities across EWB’s key departments,
including marketing and communications, business development, event operations,
IT, finance and administration, and human resources.
The initiative supports the development of future-ready Bahraini talent while contributing to the Kingdom’s broader objectives of promoting entrepreneurship, employability and economic opportunities for young people. -TradeArabia News Service
