Global City Dammam is preparing to launch its second season with new attractions and expanded facilities, targeting approximately 5.2 million visitors, up from more than 3 million during its inaugural season.
Eastern Region Mayor Fahad Al-Jubair reviewed development
work and preparations during a tour of the destination, inspecting
international pavilions, investment zones, entertainment areas and facility
expansions designed to enhance the visitor experience.
The upcoming season will feature 23 international pavilions,
five open-air international markets, 13 restaurants, six cafés and 60 food and
beverage kiosks.
New attractions include an Asian village, a futuristic zone
dedicated to artificial intelligence and robotics, a Dinosaur City and an
interactive fountain, offering visitors a wider range of cultural, recreational
and commercial experiences.
The developments align with the Ministry of Municipalities
and Housing’s objectives to introduce innovative tourism experiences and
strengthen the Kingdom’s appeal as a destination for domestic and international
visitors.
The expansion also reflects the municipality’s efforts to
maximise the use of municipal assets and increase private-sector investment and
partnerships.
Officials expect the new facilities and attractions to
support growth in tourism, entertainment and investment, stimulate the local
economy and improve quality of life across the Eastern Region.
The project forms part of broader efforts to diversify Saudi
Arabia’s economy and advance the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, with Global
City Dammam seeking to strengthen its position as a leading regional
destination for tourism and entertainment. -TradeArabia News Service
