Ajdan Real Estate Development Company has unveiled “Khobar Pier”, a SAR5.6 billion ($1.5 billion) coastal destination planned for the Arabian Gulf, as Saudi Arabia continues to expand its tourism and leisure offering.

Development, the Tourism Development Fund and Aljazira Capital, aims to
strengthen Al Khobar’s appeal as a waterfront tourism and lifestyle destination.
Located on 671,000 sq m, Khobar Pier will feature
an 850-m waterfront and around 305,000 sq m of developed area.
The destination will include 689 residential units, 690
hotel rooms and 33,000 sq m of commercial space, creating an
integrated environment combining hospitality, leisure, retail and residential
experiences.
Water will form a central element of the destination, with
interconnected waterways surrounding a central island and elevated hill
offering views across the Gulf.
The development will feature internationally branded hotels
and resorts, luxury residences and villas, restaurants, retail outlets, green
spaces and facilities for sports and water-based activities.
The project is designed to encourage visitors to spend more
time along the Khobar waterfront, with its mix of accommodation, dining,
entertainment and recreational experiences supporting the city’s tourism
proposition.
Its coastal setting and emphasis on water-based activities
are also intended to broaden leisure options for both domestic and
international visitors.
Ajdan said the project reflects its strategy of developing
destinations that extend beyond traditional real estate, combining hospitality,
entertainment, dining and retail to create tourism-focused environments.
The development is also aligned with Saudi Vision 2030’s
objectives of creating distinctive destinations, improving quality of life and
diversifying the Kingdom’s economy.
Ajdan’s wider portfolio includes Ajdan Waterfront and
Fairmont Ajdan in Al Khobar, as well as Ajdan Island and developments in Riyadh
and Jeddah.
