Muzzammil Ahussain, Chief Executive Officer of Almosafer Travel & Tourism, said Saudi Arabia is positioning artificial intelligence and digital technologies at the centre of its efforts to reshape the future of tourism.

Commenting on World Tourism Day 2026, held under the theme ‘Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism,’ Ahussain said the Kingdom was continuing to advance technology-driven travel through its AI Tourism Vision and the rollout of TourismX, an AI-powered digital infrastructure platform.

He said these initiatives marked a new phase in how international travellers connect with and experience Saudi Arabia, with technology playing an increasingly important role in enhancing the tourism journey.

“At Almosafer Travel and Tourism our AI-integrated travel solutions and robust digital agenda, leverages data and technology to elevate visitor experiences, optimise operational efficiency and foster long-term sustainability,” Ahussain said.

He added that Almosafer was using AI-integrated travel solutions, data and digital technologies to improve visitor experiences while increasing operational efficiency and supporting longer-term sustainability across the travel sector.

Ahussain said the company’s approach was aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which places tourism and digital transformation among key areas of the Kingdom’s economic development.

“Guided by Saudi Vision 2030, Almosafer is proud to lead the charge in reshaping travel into a smarter, more seamless and deeply connected global experience,” he said.

His comments come as tourism destinations and travel companies globally explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in areas including personalised travel services, digital platforms, operational management and sustainability.

Saudi Arabia has made tourism development a major part of its Vision 2030 agenda, with the Kingdom seeking to expand its tourism offering and attract more international visitors.

The increasing integration of AI and digital infrastructure is expected to support the sector’s development by enabling more connected and technology-driven travel experiences. -TradeArabia News Service
