Emirates is continuing to install Starlink satellite internet across its fleet at a rate of 14 aircraft per month, with 53 aircraft now connected.
The airline plans to equip 232 aircraft with the service,
according to Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of
Emirates Airline.
Speaking on the sidelines of Arabian Travel Market (ATM)
2026, Kazim said the rollout is progressing amid strong passenger demand and
uptake, with technical and engineering teams working to expand availability
across the fleet.
He said Emirates remains optimistic about the winter season,
supported by Dubai’s events calendar, increased frequencies across its network
and additional flights to several destinations.
Positive demand indicators include bookings linked to the
mid-term school break and outbound travel from the UAE during the holiday
period.
Emirates is also continuing to expand capacity. Its Airbus
fleet is expected to increase from around 30 aircraft currently to 36 by the
end of the year, while the airline is awaiting the first Boeing 777-9
deliveries next summer.
Kazim also highlighted progress on the airline’s fleet
retrofit programme and Premium Economy rollout.
The cabin is currently available on 137 aircraft, against a
target of 155 by the end of the year.
Emirates offers around 3.5 million Premium Economy seats
annually, with demand continuing to support the product.
Discussing Emirates’ participation in ATM 2026, Kazim said
the exhibition provides an important global meeting point for the travel and
tourism industry and an opportunity to engage with strategic partners.
He said agreements signed during the exhibition are
primarily focused on supporting tourism flows, including partnerships with
entities in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah and international destinations such as
Malaysia, Seychelles, Mauritius and the Maldives.
Kazim added that Emirates continues to work with tourism
authorities on promotional campaigns, roadshows and other initiatives under
bilateral agreements, noting that destination promotion remains a core part of
the airline’s role in markets across its network.
