The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), alongside four local tourism industry partners, showcased the country’s tourism offerings at PATA Travel Mart (PTM) 2026 in Kuching, Malaysia, strengthening Azerbaijan’s engagement with international travel markets.
At the event,
Azerbaijan presented a range of tourism products through a national stand and
held business meetings with travel agencies, tour operators and industry
representatives from Europe, the CIS, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the
Pacific.
Discussions focused on
promoting Azerbaijan as a destination, developing new partnerships and
strengthening existing ties across leisure, luxury travel and business events.
Following PTM 2026,
ATB participated in the World Islamic Tourism & Trade Expo (WITEX 2026) in
Kuala Lumpur. Organised by the Malaysia Tourism Agency Association, the event
brought together tourism officials, industry leaders and international stakeholders
to explore opportunities across the growing Islamic and halal tourism sector.
Azerbaijan’s
participation in both events highlighted its diverse tourism offering and
supported efforts to expand cooperation with Southeast Asian markets. The
engagements also provided opportunities to connect with potential partners and
increase Azerbaijan’s visibility among regional travel professionals.-TradeArabia News Service
