The Al Jabal Al Akhdar Festival 2026 in Oman has welcomed more than 100,000 visitors since the start of its activities through the end of July, supporting tourism growth and economic activity in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar.
Running for 45 days, the festival features a wide range of
entertainment, cultural, sporting and tourism experiences, while providing
marketing opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), family
businesses and farmers to promote their products directly to visitors.
Organised by the Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah in partnership
with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Small and Medium Enterprises
Development Authority “Riyada,” with strategic support from OQ Gas Networks,
the event brings together 95 participating entities, including SMEs, local
retailers, restaurants, cafés and agricultural producers.
The festival is contributing to the local economy by
increasing demand for goods and services, encouraging commercial activity and
creating a platform that connects entrepreneurs with the growing number of
visitors during the summer tourism season.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions, including daily
stage performances, a roaming carnival, family and children’s zones, youth
activities, interactive games, the Cinema Dome and the Neon Oasis.
The festival also introduces the “Floating Pantry”
experience, featuring 3D hologram technology for the first time in
A’Dakhiliyah.
The programme continues throughout August with major events
including a sports car showcase by the Drive More One team, a tourism
procession through Al Jabal Al Akhdar villages, a sports caravan, the
Traditional Games League, a running race, the Gulf Horsemen Forum and the Fig
and Olive Forum.
The festival highlights Al Jabal Al Akhdar’s natural, agricultural and cultural assets while strengthening Oman’s tourism appeal and supporting local businesses through increased visitor engagement. -TradeArabia News Service
