Dubai-based airline flydubai is expanding its operations to Italy, increasing connectivity with additional flights to Milan-Bergamo and Naples.

From July 31, 2026, the carrier will operate a double-daily service to Milan-Bergamo, while maintaining daily flights to Naples, three weekly flights to Catania and seasonal services to Olbia.

Due to scheduled maintenance at Naples International Airport, flydubai will temporarily operate daily flights from Dubai International (DXB) to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi and Cilento Airport from November 1 to 30, 2026.

Services to Naples will resume on December 1, with passengers automatically rebooked onto Salerno flights during the transition period.

The Naples and Milan-Bergamo routes operate under the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, offering passengers seamless bookings, coordinated itineraries and through-checked baggage.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said: “Naples and Milan have become key gateways into our Italian network and we are pleased to have expanded the frequency of our operations to both cities. Our priority is to ensure customers continue to enjoy convenient access to the region, in line with our long-term commitment to strengthening connectivity to underserved destinations and supporting the continued flow of trade, tourism and people between the United Arab Emirates and Italy, particularly as travel demand increases during the winter season.”

Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, added: “Our commitment to further strengthening our direct services to Naples and Milan-Bergamo underscores the importance of the Italian market and our commitment to offering customers seamless, non-stop access to key destinations across Italy and beyond. Through our Dubai hub and the combined reach of the flydubai and Emirates networks, we now offer passengers even more travel options to some of the world’s most sought-after destinations, with seamless connections to Kenya, Oman, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar and many more. We look forward to welcoming our customers on board as we connect our destinations in Italy with our expanding network.” -TradeArabia News Service
