Registration has opened for IBTM World 2026, which will take place at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona from November 17-19, 2026, with the event set to focus on the theme “The Age of Disruption.”

The global business events show will address the major challenges currently reshaping the industry, including rapid artificial intelligence adoption, tighter budgets, rising attendee expectations and growing pressure on organisers to prove event return on investment.

The 2026 edition will combine business meetings and networking with practical opportunities for event professionals to explore the latest tools and technologies.

Attendees will be able to test AI applications, compare event technology solutions, connect with suppliers and share strategies with peers facing similar industry challenges.

A dedicated Event Tech and Services zone will showcase AI platforms, registration solutions, production technology and experiential providers, allowing planners to evaluate multiple options in one location and identify solutions suited to their operational needs.

A new feature, “AI for Events – Demo Day LIVE,” created in partnership with Boldpush, will demonstrate how artificial intelligence is already changing event management.

Live showcases will highlight AI-driven tasks such as creating event agendas, developing sponsorship proposals, automating attendee communications and analysing event performance.

The IBTM Ignite start-up showcase will return, offering visitors insight into emerging companies developing new approaches to event planning, delivery and measurement.

The conference programme has also been redesigned to reflect current industry priorities. Sessions will focus on delivering impactful events with limited resources, meeting evolving audience expectations and demonstrating measurable business value.

Discussions will also explore the future of event venues, sustainability, accessibility, technology integration and the infrastructure needed to support the next generation of events.

Claudia Hall, Exhibition Director, IBTM World, said: “IBTM World has always been about doing business and intentional networking, but today's industry is looking for much more than a traditional exhibition. We're continually evolving the event to deliver richer experiences and more immersive, engaging environments that reflect the realities of our changing industry. Our role is to create an environment where event professionals can step away from the day-to-day, exchange ideas, discover new approaches and return with fresh thinking that makes a real difference. That’s what we are building for IBTM World 2026.” -TradeArabia News Service
