BAS joins IATA Ground Handling Partnership Programme

Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has announced its membership in the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Ground Handling Partnership Programme (GHP) for 2026, reflecting its continued commitment to implementing global operational standards.

This step builds on its ongoing efforts to enhance operational performance while maintaining high levels of safety and reliability in ground handling services at Bahrain International Airport.

BAS’s participation in the GHP programme, highlights its continued focus on adopting international best practices in safety, efficiency, and service quality.

The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between airlines and ground handling providers, supporting greater standardisation and improved operational performance across the sector.

Zaeem Gama, Chief Commercial Officer of BAS, stated: “We are proud to join the 2026 Ground Handling Partnership Programme at a time when the aviation sector continues to evolve rapidly, with increasing demands for efficiency and reliability.
