Marriott International is strengthening its presence in Greece with nine new hotel agreements totaling nearly 1,000 rooms, including the debut of Residence Inn by Marriott and Le Méridien.

The expansion will grow its portfolio beyond 47 properties and 6,000 rooms across the country.

New projects span key destinations such as Athens, Crete, Paros, Zakynthos, and Milos, covering leisure, resort, and urban markets.

Highlights include Residence Inn Athens (2027), Le Méridien Sissi Crete (2027), and Milatos Marriott Resort Crete (2028).

Additional openings include properties under Tribute Portfolio, Autograph Collection, Luxury Collection, and Design Hotels brands.

The expansion reinforces Marriott’s strategy to diversify its offerings across segments, from luxury to lifestyle and extended-stay, while enhancing its footprint across Greece’s major travel destinations.

“As one of the world’s most desirable leisure destinations, Greece continues to offer significant opportunities for Marriott to expand its footprint across its islands, coastal regions, and urban centres,” said Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International. “These new signings reflect the strong confidence owners and franchisees place in Marriott and underscore the sustained demand for our diverse and inspiring portfolio of brands in the Greek market.” -TradeArabia News Service
