ONE of Abu Dhabi’s premier hotel management groups, Cristal Hotels & Resorts, has announced international expansion plans following the success of its first hotel.
The announcement comes only months after the opening of the 192-room Cristal Hotel, which soon saw capacity peak at 100 per cent.
“We are very interested in positioning Abu Dhabi as a global hospitality leader and supporting its tourism growth plans,” said chairman, Mohamed Abdul Baki.
“Cristal is proud to be a home-grown brand. We view ourselves as the hospitality ambassadors for Abu Dhabi and our plans are to go global.”
With expansion plans in the pipeline including several properties within Abu Dhabi, Dubai and outside of the Middle Eastern region, the group plans to ensure that the demand for quality business travel accommodation is well catered to.
“We are well aware that Abu Dhabi is expecting approximately 4,000 rooms to open up in the emirate shortly but these past months have proven that quality business travel accommodation is in high demand,” added CEO Peter Blackburn.
