As always at WTM there is a comprehensive conference and seminar programme covering various subjects from global branding and the leading emerging markets to technology and e-commerce.
WTM Global Trends Report. On Tuesday, November 10, exhibitors and visitors will have an overview of the WTM Global Trends Report 2009, in association with Euromonitor International. Louisa Bojesen, financial key market reporter for CNBC, NBC and MSBC will explore the leading trends emerging within the industry focusing on key regions and topics.
WTM Vision – The Global Economic Forum takes place on Thursday, November 12. Chaired by former BBC financial journalist Peter Hobday, a panel of leading financial and business experts will offer delegates useful insights, business solutions and strategies for recovery which will prove extremely valuable now and in the future. There will also be pre-recorded interviews with industry leaders such as Willie Walsh of British Airways and speakers including Taleb Rifai, Secretary General, United Nations World Tourism Organisation, Carol Marlow, managing director of P&O Cruises and Nic Marks, founder of new economics foundation (nef).
Travel and Tourism’s Top Ten Emerging Markets will review the factors that drove the travel industry growth of traditional markets and examine the extent to which the same factors are at play in the emerging markets and other contributing factors. It will also highlight the differences between the maturing and the top emerging markets as well as future prospects and market peculiarities.
EyeforTravel – Travel Technology Summit. With the technology and online travel zone recording the fastest growth at WTM since its launch, this year sees delegates offered the chance to join some of the most innovative senior executives in the business to discuss the key technology and e-commerce issues at the forefront of the industry in a two day summit including presentations from some of the top travel brands.
