ETIHAD Airways recently unveiled 12 ‘hackney carriage’ Manchester taxis in its unique black and gold livery at Manchester City FC’s stadium with club mascots, ‘Moonchester’ and ‘Moonbeam’. The sponsorship is the airline’s latest initiative to build awareness of the airline in the Manchester area ahead of its three-year deal to be the official shirt sponsor and partner of Premier League side, Manchester City FC. The airline has also launched special weekend packages for fans to watch Manchester City Football Club play in the Barclays Premier League. Two night packages with breakfast at the five star Lowry Hotel in Manchester start from Dh5,060 per person and include match-day tickets, a replica Manchester City shirt, return economy flights from Abu Dhabi and all taxes and surcharges.
