HIS Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco will officially open Mediterrania-Saïdia – the first of six resorts scheduled as part of Plan Azur, the King’s “Vision 2010” strategic tourist development programme.
Launched in January 2001, the aim of Plan Azur is to make Morocco one of the world’s premier tourist destinations with a target of attracting 10 million visitors in 2010. Conceived in the years of the property boom, Vision 2010 has already transformed Marrakesh, with many villa complexes, branded hotels and golf resorts.
Le Jardin de Fleur is the name behind 11 of the most prestigious property developments in the north eastern Moroccan coastal destination of Mediterrania-Saïdia. This is the first of the Le Jardin de Fleur resorts that has been developed by European developer Property Logic.
Through Le Jardin de Fleur, Property Logic will be responsible introducing the touristic leaseback system to Morocco for the first time. The leaseback model for property development and investment means that while the properties themselves remain independently owned by individual investors, the hotel management company oversees the destination’s maintenance, securing its position for the years to come as a sound holiday option.
The opening launch of Mediterrania-Saïdia will also include a concert by the world famous Arabic singer Khaled.
Morocco’s 9th annual National Tourism Conference “Assises du tourisme” will also take place in Saidia on June 19.
