MOUNTAIN High is a Dubai based adventure company that aims to encourage, inspire and motivate travellers, to get them to understand different cultures and also gets them to discover themselves.
Run by Julie Lewis, the company has a variety of adventures in store this year. In Kerala from August 3 to 9 is the Nehru Trophy Boat Race. The company has for the past three years joined up with the Alleppy Ladies Boat Club, taking the trophy two consecutive years. The boat goes through the back waters of Kerala and is open to 10 women only.
In Kenya from August 21 to September 1 there is an opportunity to combine trekking through rain forests, climbing to the snow capped summit of Mount Kenya, followed by game drives through the Great Rift Valley and tree planting with Masai Mara warriors. This trip is open to men and women, but a maximum of 16 passengers.
In Cyprus from September 23 to 28 there is Aphrodite’s Challenge, where Mountain High and Land Rover join forces on a health awareness challenge on the island. Open to 12 women only, participants have their physical and mental capabilities tested as they hike, bike and swim.
October 16 to 30 sees the Inca Women’s Challenge in Peru.
The trip takes in Machu Picchu and includes hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting and horse riding.
There are also tailor made adventure possibilities, and local trips in the region include power walks, caving and canyoning, motivational adventure retreat workshops, individual and team life coaching and motivational sessions.
