The Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai reopened on Sunday December 21st, during which a multi religion prayer meeting was conducted to commemorate the reopening of the hotel. An around the clock
effort by the management and staff of the hotel ensured that it reopened less than a month after it sustained damage in the terrorist attacks. The hotel was among more than 10 locations in the city of Mumbai that were targeted. Opening to heightened security, all 550 guest rooms including the executive floors, are ready to receive guests, and all restaurants and other facilities are operational.
The Oberoi Group has established The Oberoi Care Fund in response to the overwhelming worldwide expression of concern received for the families of the members of staff who lost their lives in the attacks. This was introduced in partnership with ‘Give India’, a non-government organisation. The Fund will accept contributions made by cheque, demand draft, credit card or an electronic fund transfer until March 31.
