Set amid beautiful landscaped gardens on one of the unspoiled beaches of Oman, the Al Sawadi Beach Resort claims to offer the "ultimate choice for business and leisure".

An hour's drive from the capital Muscat, Al Sawadi resort offers a wide choice for the holidaymaker - from a great diving adventure and water sports to a glimpse of scenic villages and impressive forts.

The resort says its Padi dive centre offers the full range of diving courses from Bubble Makers for children aged eight and Discover Scuba Diving course for the novice to dive master courses which pave the way to becoming a professional diver.

Al Sawadi says it offers diving 365 days a year at the nearby Dimaniyat Islands nature reserve which is rich in marine life and terrestrial wildlife with hundreds of species of fish among the spectacularly colourful coral reef table, the biggest in the region.

Leisure facilties at the resort include a temperature controlled swimming pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, a state-of-the-art gym and tennis and squash courts.

A range of activities are also on offer including wind surfing, water skiing, fun rides, fishing trips and turtle watching.

The resort's 100 chalet style guest rooms feature their own terrace or balcony and are comfortably furnished with all modern amenities to ensure a relaxing holiday.

"Dining facilities at Al Sawadi complement the hotel's casual atmosphere and are designed to meet every mood and occasion," says a spokesman.

Guests have a choice of dining in a bistro ambience at the Regatta to sampling the tandoor delights at Tandoori Bahar or opt for a relaxed, informal atmosphere at the all-day Coral Reef CafŽ.

The resort has two conference rooms featuring the latest equipment which also offer a high degree of flexibility in terms of layout and capacity. Professional and dedicated conference staff to assist with the organisation are also available.
