Golden Tulip Barsha for June opening

Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts is set to expand its portfolio in the MENA region following a new management agreement for the four-star deluxe Golden Tulip Al Barsha in Dubai, set to open June 1.

Owning company Noor Capital CEO Dr Hani Shammah said, “We are pleased to sign with a strong international hotel management company. Our hotel, located in Al Barsha, adjacent to the mall of the emirates, will be our first venture in the hospitality industry and we look forward to having many more. We believe that the Golden Tulip management, with their regional office in Dubai will make a strong platform to the success of our property with their knowledge of the mina region, the market place and strength of worldwide exposure.”
The hotel is located in the up coming Al Barsha area of Dubai, just off the Sheikh Zayed road and few steps from the Mall Of The Emirates. With its stylish design concept and décor the Golden Tulip Al Barsha adds another milestone in quality four star deluxe hotels in the region.

Moukarzel added that the hotel would be ready to open on June 1.
“With ten executive suites and 10 executive room this 125-keys property is ready to cater to the corporate and tourism segment alike and will provide a flexible configuration of accommodation, playing an active role in the continued development of the tourism sector in the UAE and the city of Dubai, especially with the exceptional location of the hotel with three of Dubai’s major malls in its vicinity.”
The group is planning a major expansion drive to tap into the Middle East’s booming travel and tourism sector. This includes the regional launch of the Royal Tulip luxury hotel brand.
After recently opening its fifth hotel in Oman, the four-star Golden Tulip Resort Dibba – bringing its total in the Middle East and North Africa to 31 – the company is now aiming to expand its portfolio to include 50 hotels, inns and resorts in the region by 2010.
“The Middle East is Golden Tulip’s second largest market and we felt the time was right to expand our portfolio throughout the region. With so many large-scale real estate developments planned and investment in the tourism sector continuing to increase regionwide, the Middle East presents excellent opportunities for Golden Tulip,” said Moukarzel.
