Cyprus will once again be represented at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai with a delegation led by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) at stand EU440.

Other participants from the Mediterranean island include Cyprus Airways, InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort (Paphos), Kanika Hotels, Le Méridien Limassol Spa and Resort, Louis Tourist Agency, Palm Beach Hotel and Bungalows (Larnaca), Outbound Travel and more. Some are represented at the exhibition as partners of CTO.
Cyprus is already a popular destination with travellers from the Gulf who feel at home with both the climate and the Middle-Eastern influence in the cuisine.
Another plus point this year has been the introduction of flights by low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways, which began flying to Larnaca from Dubai and Kuwait three times a week this March. Gulf Air and Emirates already have flights to the island.
Chris Laghoutis, sales manager (MICE and corporate) of Aphrodite Hills Resort, says: “During the exhibition we will be on the InterContinental corporate stand, promoting our fully integrated resort which includes the 290-room InterContinental Hotel, our Beach Club that was unveiled last summer, and the Retreat Spa, which is the largest spa on the island and an ideal getaway for wellness breaks. The resort is also a Golfer’s paradise with the only 18-hole championship level course in Cyprus.” The hotel has seven restaurants and bars, a kids club and activities for families.
Laghoutis will be the resort’s sole representative on the stand this but there will also be one person who represents the Aphrodite Hills Villa Rentals.
