All-business class airline Al Khayala has operated its first flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to Dubai.

This marks the beginning of a new era in regional corporate air travel, it said. Al Khayala airlines, owned by National Air Services (NAS), a private Riyadh-based aviation company, targets first- and business-class travellers by offering exceptional service. The carrier operates a fleet of Airbus A319 aircraft designed to carry up to 140 passengers but with a modified capacity of just 44 passengers to ensure maximum in-flight comfort. Operating exclusively from private airports, Al Khayala airlines minimises check-in time for the busy executive traveller.
Anas Rayes, chief executive officer, Al Khayala airlines, said: “While we strongly believe that the Al Khalaya airlines offering is unique, we also recognise the need to meet the rapidly growing demand for our services. The opening of new routes will help ensure that Al Khalaya airlines becomes the carrier of choice for discerning Gulf travellers.”
Commenting on that expansion, Rayes added: “Our maiden flight outside the kingdom represents a milestone in Al Khalaya airlines’ corporate history – and a significant opportunity for executives traveling between three of the Gulf region’s great cities.”
In addition to offering service to the UAE, Al Khayala airlines currently operates flights between Riyadh and Jeddah, and between Jeddah and Dammam. On a seasonal basis, the carrier serves other major destinations inside the kingdom as well as regional cities such as Beirut, Cairo and Sharm Al-Sheikh, with plans for further expansion in the near future.
