Glitz and glamour at the Conrad Cairo

THE Conrad Cairo has in recent months played host to a variety of conferences.

Among these was the Egyptian Junior Business Association conference on reforming Egyptian tourism, with the Egyptian Minister of Tourism Zohair Garanah as guest speaker.
The tourism conference took place at the hotel’s Nile ballroom, facing the main entrance and hosting some 300 of Cairo’s leading and public figures as well as members of the EJB working towards creating a better positive business environment based upon excellence, ethics and public service.
In line with its strategy to actively participate in the growth and the development of the local community, the hotel continues to fund all the activities of the Egyptian Forum of Dialogue and Partnership for Development, supporting the elimination of child labor in Egypt, planned to take place until September 2006.
The hotel’s support to the Forum comes within the award programme organized by the Egyptian NGO Centres and stresses on the hotel's planned strategies to participate in the development of the local community out of its corporate social responsibility.
Aiming to activate every possible way within the existing strategies to help reduce/eliminate child labour, the forum, headed by General Maher Khalifa, recently organized a session, at the Egyptian Humanitarian Relief and Rehabilitation Organization, attended by many academic, executives, governmental personnel and representatives of the local civic organizations.
The hotel was also recently chosen to host the Middle East Finance Conference attended by the most senior finance people in Hilton International.
