Bridle takes over as COO, Shangri-La
Symon Bridle has been appointed COO of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
In the last two years with Shangri-La, Bridle was a group VP as well as new hotel projects in India, Oman and the Maldives.
Dogan appointed as Shangri-La VP
Shangri-La has appointed Greg Dogan as VP for the hotel. Prior to his current appointment, he was the area manager and GM at Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian and resident manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta.
Mainguy at Ritz Sharm El Sheikh
Peter Mainguy has been appointed as the GM of Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh. Peter was previously hotel manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, after his role as regional DOSM.
Al Busaidy to head InterCon Al Jubail
Hafidh Al Busaidy has been appointed by InterCon Hotels Group as GM of the InterCon Al Jubail. Al Busaidy was previously the acting GM and resident manager of the Al Bustan Palace Oman.
Munro joins Sheraton Abu Dhabi
James Munro, has been named GM of Sheraton Abu Dhabi Resort & Towers. He will also function as area manager for Starwood Hotels, UAE. James was previously GM at the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel.

Sayess joins Mövenpick Kuwait
Rami Sayess has been appointed GM of Mövenpick Hotel Kuwait. Sayess gained his experience with the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel, London as the director of sales for the Middle East & Africa, rooms division manager at Le Victoria Hotel, Mauritius Island and as director of operations in Le Royal Méridien, Bahrain.

Thorsten Ries has been appointed as GM of The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, after his role as GM in Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh. Ries joined Ritz-Carlton Hotels in 1999 as regional DOSM for Germany. Prior to which he was with Four Seasons

Renaissance Golden View Beach Resort, Sharm El Sheikh has appointed Gerald Moutte, as their GM. Gerald has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and was previously with Disney for the opening of Disneyland Paris and JW Marriott Cairo.

Gabard promoted to DOSM
Laurent Gabard has been promoted to area director of sales & marketing for InterCon Hotels Group in Lebanon. He is also DOSM for InterCon Phoenicia Beirut. Prior to his new position he was at InterCon Le Vendôme.
InterCon Dubai promotes El Khoury
InterCon Dubai has appointed a new director of sales, Robert El Khoury. El Khoury was promoted from assistant director of sales at the InterCon Dubai, to his new position overlooking the entire sales operation.
New appointments at Coral
Coral Deira and Coral Boutique Hotel Apartments appointed Bojana Djuric as sales manager. Bojana was previously business development manager for an advertising company. Jan Harrison has been appointed as the training and human resources manager for Coral International Hotels, Resorts & Spas. She was previously with the Conservation Corporation Kenya as their HR manager.

Mohamed Madi has joined Grand Hyatt Cairo marketing team as the associate director of sales for corporate. His recent position was regional sales manager for corporate and travel segments for Royal Mirage, Dubai.
Hyatt appoints new director of protocols
Hyatt hotels in Dubai have appointed Saeed Al Bagali and Gihad Yakoob Radi, two UAE nationals, as directors of protocol at Grand Hyatt Dubai and Hyatt Regency Dubai resp. Bagali has previously worked as operations and PR director and Radi previously worked in the sales and marketing field and as a foreign relations manager.
Reynders joins Al Bustan Rotana
Al Bustan Rotana Hotel announced the appointment of Jacques Reynders as the new assistant recreation manager. Reynders holds a diploma in Sports Science and is a qualified RPM/body pump instructor with seven years experience in the fitness sport.
Hyatt Regency appoints F&B personnel
Hyatt Regency Dubai has recently appointed four key personnel in its F&B department. Thierry Buffeteau is the newly appointed executive chef. Buffeteau was previously executive chef at Grand Hyatt Muscat. Focaccia, Hyatt Regency Dubai’s authentic Italian restaurant, will operate under their new Italian management with Chef Samuele Alvisi and Marco Pacelli as the assistant restaurant manager. Michael Braun has been appointed as Hyatt Regency’s new assistant director for F&B and was previously working for Grand Hyatt Berlin.

Pastry maestro Eric Gouteyron has joined Fairmont Hotel, Dubai. Chef Eric was formerly at The Plaza, New York, where he was executive pastry chef, gracing numerous celebrity weddings including those of Michael Douglas and Donald Trump.
