Abu Dhabi Aviation chalks up $10m profit

Abu Dhabi Aviation, the commercial helicopter operator, announced it had earned a net profit of Dh36.9 million ($10.1 million) for the first three quarters of this year, up 2.79 per cent over the same period last year.

A Gulf News report said that total assets of the company grew to Dh795 million ending third quarter this year as against Dh658 million ending September last year. Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at Dh3.15 compared with Dh3.68 in the same period last year.

According to the income statement of the company provided by the Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADSM), turnover rose to Dh189.13 million from Dh158.35 million for the period under review.

Capital and reserves are put at Dh638.36 million as at September 30 this year, compared with Dh572.24 million in September last year. Abu Dhabi Aviation owns 50 per cent of Royal Jet, the luxury charter airline launched earlier this year.
