Double Tree by Hilton debuts in UAE capital

THE DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences opens its doors, making it Abu Dhabi’s first DoubleTree by Hilton property. Developed by Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading curator of magnetic experiences, the hotel was developed to meet the requirements of longer stay bookings, families, and business travellers staying on Yas Island.

Providing flexible hospitality options and offering a ‘home away from home’ experience, guests can choose from 156 apartments, comprising of a mix of studio-, one-, two- and three-bedroom accommodation options, that cater to every need. Featuring a full range of facilities, including spacious bathrooms, a separate wardrobe area, interactive TV, a fully equipped kitchen, microwave, washer/dryer, free WiFi and separate living room for all suites, each room has been designed with comfort and convenience in mind.

Complementing the hotel’s unique design are the expansive meeting and event spaces, perfectly tailored for executive meetings, banquet celebrations or themed events. The hotel offers an experienced on-site event team, full service and convention services, high-speed Wi-Fi across all meeting rooms and state-of the-art technology. Moreover, DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences’ largest meeting room has the capacity to host up to 280 people.

 

Sheraton Abu Dhabi reopens post renovations

SHERATON Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort has opened its doors to guests following an extensive renovation at the property, which has been a key part of the capital’s tourism landscape for more than four decades.

Located in the heart of the city on the Corniche, the hotel is ready to welcome guests to its new-look rooms and public areas, spa and health club, and dining destinations.

With 279 rooms and suites, the hotel offers a range of accommodations including two club floors and executive, diplomatic, royal, and presidential suites. Each has been refurbished to combine contemporary décor with the latest in-room comforts and amenities such as Sheraton’s Signature Bed, furnishings, cable TV and high-speed internet access, according to a statement from the hotel.

Guests can choose from a selection of dining options, including the newly opened Le Bistrot, which joins Flavours, the go-to spot for all-day dining. Apart from the Tavern Pub, exclusive alfresco dining is available at the B Lounge Beach Bar, while the hotel will soon be adding the Amadeous restaurant to its list of eateries.

 

Marriott signs agreement for W in Dubai

MARRIOTT International signed an agreement with wasl Hospitality & Leisure LLC, a subsidiary of wasl Asset Management Group, to bring the W Hotels Worldwide brand to Dubai’s sought-after Jumeirah Beach coastline. Expected to welcome its first guests in 2022, W Dubai - Mina Seyahi is set to become an iconic addition to Dubai’s skyline and a new buzzing, urban escape in the cosmopolitan city.

His Excellency Hesham Al Qassim, CEO of wasl Asset Management Group, said: “We are pleased to sign this agreement and introduce W Dubai – Mina Seyahi to the renowned Mina Seyahi complex in Dubai Marina. This new property, which is among several other Marriott International hotels that wasl brought and launched in the emirate, will be an exciting addition to Dubai’s hospitality sector. We continue to look forward to developing further hotels to cement our position as a key player in the hospitality sector”.

 

Emaar, Arada launch branded residences

EMAAR Hospitality, a unit of Dubai developer Emaar Properties, has joined hands with Emirati developer Arada to launch the first branded serviced apartments building – Vida Residences 3 - within the Aljada master community in Sharjah.

Owned and developed by Arada, and operated by Vida Hotels and Resorts, the Vida Residences Aljada building contains one, two, three-bedroom branded serviced apartments and a major penthouse, which will add to Vida’s already impressive portfolio, including Vida Emirates Hills, Vida Downtown, Manzil Downtown, and the recently opened beach resort, Vida Umm Al Quwain.

According to Arada, the Vida Residences 3 Aljada consists of 149 high-end smart homes, all of which are fully furnished and decorated by Vida.
