A major European health and fitness institution has moved into the Middle East with its first health club in Egypt.

Sweden-based World Class Health Academy has opened the 1,500 sq m health club at Le Royal Nile Tower in Cairo as an exclusive membership facility offering high quality equipment and an extensive range of massage treatments.

The academy, which has 28 clubs in 23 cities in Europe, says that as a limited membership club, it offers its members a high level of service.

Facilities available at the club include weights and cardio equipment, Jacuzzi, sauna, aerobics and massage treatments through its association with L'Institut Guinot of Paris.

The club says its professionally qualified instructors and therapists offer personal training on its equipment as well as in aerobics, spinning and aqua classes.

It says it offers 18 cardio-vascular stations, 32 weight stations, free weight area, bicycles, treadmills, stairclimbers and cross trainers, dry and steam saunas, aqua aerobics, and a solarium.

Through L'Institut Guinot, one of France's leading spa institutes, the club offers a variety of massages.
