Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina has undergone extensive refurbishment and expansion over the summer months.
The property has now got an extended deck at its beachfront restaurant, enhanced conference facilities and an upgraded gymnasium and fitness centre. These additions are set to create new standards on Jumeirah Beach and increase the property's appeal for both Dubai residents and international visitors, says the hotel. "Work took place in the quieter season, between June and September 2002 to ensure minimal disruption, and although Le Meridien Mina Seyahi has only been in operation for three years, these improvements reflect our continued efforts to offer a special and unique product in Dubai," said general manager Michael Scully. Le Meridien Mina Seyahi has become a popular resort for its beach and marina facilities, as well as its idyllic setting, and is focusing expansion on this area, with an extension to what is already one of Dubai's finest venues on the beach Ñ the Barasti Bar and Restaurant. "The extended wooden deck will capture the true beauty of its superb location overlooking the fishing boats and charter yachts docked in the hotel's 145-berth marina, while serving fresh catch and island-style cuisine, to rival the best restaurants in town," said Scully. Barasti's capacity is enhanced by 100 additional seats in the dining area, bringing the total number of seats to 150. A new menu, live music and a brand new cocktail menu will be added to the beachside mix, along with a host of other improvements. The gymnasium and fitness centre have also received a makeover under which the existing training area is being extended by a further 100 sq m, and an additional fitness studio for aerobics, spinning classes, step, yoga, and body combat is being added, the hotel said. The hotel has also carried out refurbishment of two boardrooms within the existing conference centre.
