Voivenel ... ITB a key event

Top sales executives from HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings will be present at ITB Berlin to promote the various hotels under the group.

Laurent A Voivenel, CEO of HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings, says: 'In times of complex markets and rapid global expansion, trade shows such as ITB Berlin serve as the driving force behind the tourism industry. Being the largest gathering of travel professionals and trade exhibitors it continues to be the most important marketplace for the world travel industry and offers the perfect platform for brands such as ours to conduct business, network and exchange knowledge.

'We expect this year’s ITB to again set the tone for a successful year in tourism by stimulating further growth in this sector. Although we will be promoting all our properties at the fair, we are confident both The Ajman Palace Hotel and Coral Beach Resort Sharjah will benefit especially as they are traditionally quite popular among Germans and also offer excellent Mice facilities.'

In 2015, the number of outbound trips made by Europeans increased about 4.5 per cent during the first eight months. Overall, European outbound travel grew by 13 per cent from 2009 to 2014, reaching a total of 444 million outbound trips last year.

HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings is the Middle East’s first and largest operator in the alcohol-free ‘dry’ segment and has made rapid strides in the industry since its formation in 2003. Voivenel took over as the company’s CEO in 2013 moving from Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

His key priority has been to give the company a distinct competitive edge among regional players equipping it with the best in technology, human resources, and other essential infrastructure integrating core processes, to put it at par with international hotel chains.
