Carlson Rezidor has announced that its first hotel in Iraq - the Radisson Blu Hotel, Erbil in the Kurdistan region – is already under construction and scheduled to open in 2017. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Erbil will be located in the Western suburbs of Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan – only 2.5 kilometres away from the Iraq Kurdistan parliament and 3 kilometres away from Erbil International Airport, which is the main gateway to the region. The upper upscale hotel will offer 260 guest rooms, an all-day-dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a lobby bar, meeting rooms and a ballroom, a gym and a spa. Set on a serene beach on the edge of the village of Azuri, the Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa is a family-friendly resort with 160 rooms and suites featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with views out over the gardens or the ocean. The resort’s spacious long-term option includes 60 suites, townhouses and penthouses providing an extensive living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. Activities at the resort include a full range of water sports from snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, pedal boats and a glass-bottom boat along with four tennis courts and beach volleyball. Dining options feature a casual all-day dining outlet, Le Comptoir, and the popular L’Azuli a la carte restaurant, which is known for serving the freshest seafood cuisine in an elegant and relaxing setting. Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa Mauritius is an adults-only resort where all rooms feature floor-to-ceiling glass with large sliding doors to a small terrace or a Juliette balcony.
