Cebu Pacific Air reported a 77 per cent increase on its core net income in 2014

The beautiful island of Cebu, often called ‘Queen City of the South’, is a unique blend of tropical paradise and bustling city life.

One the most popular tourist and business destinations in the Philippines, it offers visitors white-sand beaches, remarkable historical landmarks and lively nightlife.

Cebu Pacific Air, the Philippines’ largest airline, currently connects Dubai, Riyadh and Kuwait to Cebu via capital Manila, with plans to launch Doha-Manila flights this June 5.

Cebu is blessed with pleasant, tropical weather and is a main gateway to a host of other nearby islands, making it an ideal base for an island-hopping vacation. From Cebu, the airline’s network includes inter-island flights to beach destinations such as Boracay and Palawan (Puerto Princesa).

Cebu Pacific Air reported a core net income of P3.3 billion ($74.2 million) in 2014, up 77 per cent compared to the previous year, on the back of notable improvement in both revenues and operating expenses.

Total revenues grew 27 per cent driven by sustained demand for air travel and entry to new markets such as Japan, the Middle East and Australia. Cebu Pacific Air carried 16.9 million passengers in 2014, 17.5 per cent more than the 14.4 million passengers flown in 2013.

Ancillary revenue likewise grew 29 per cent, while cargo revenues grew 20 per cent.

Cebu Pacific Air posted operating income of P4.2 billion ($94.3 million), 73 per cent higher than 2013, supported by improvement in fuel prices.

Flight seat sales contacts are Al Rais Travel in Dubai or Abu Dhabi Travel Bureau for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain clients.

Cebu Pacific Air professionals will be available at stand number AS9140, sharing the stand with Philippines Department of Tourism.
