The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh hotel manager Wael Maatouk was recognised as the “Hotel Manager of the Year” at the Hotelier Middle East Awards 2013. The category was judged on the strong leadership skills exhibited by the candidates over the past year as well as the potential to be a general manager in the future through their understanding of operations, team and guests.

Maatouk was adjudged the best from amongst 600 nominees, representing the brightest hospitality talents in the Middle East.

Wael Maatouk joined The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh in December 2010 as part of the pre-opening team and has been instrumental in handling the operations of the 493 rooms and suites palace.
