Royal opening for Golden Tulip in Alexandria

GOLDEN Tulip has strengthened its presence in Egypt by opening the Royal Tulip Alexandria Hotel, the first of the Royal Tulip branded luxury hotel to open in MENA. The Armed Forces of Egypt signed an agreement with Golden Tulip to manage the new hotel, which will feature 477 contemporary guestrooms, suites and villas.

Amine E Moukarzel, president of Golden Tulip MENA, said: “The opening is a signature milestone for Golden Tulip as we highlight our commitment to the MENA region by opening our first luxurious hotel under the Royal Tulip brand which is also one of the largest hotels in this region.”

The Royal Tulip Alexandria is located on the Cornish of Alexandria which is home to Pharos Lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and the Library of Alexandria. The rooms are designed by J/Brice Design International featuring elegant designs and stylish living areas.

The hotel consists of 10 fine dining outlets offering an array of international cuisine, including an all-day restaurant, Bamboo Asian restaurant, Al Eskandarani Seafood Restaurant, Afandi Lebanese Restaurant, Ristretto lobby lounge, Churchill bar, Champs Sports Bar and outdoor terrace Café.

The property is also set to be a hub for events, meetings and conferences with state-of-art audio-visual equipment and wireless internet as the disposal of business travellers. The hotel features a 24-hour business centre, five fully-equipped meeting rooms and two conference halls. Other hotel facilities include the movie theatre, fitness centre, Spa and outdoor swimming pool and a 24-hour gym.
