Chic Outlet Shopping includes travel trade in new website

CHIC Outlet Shopping has unveiled a new dedicated travel trade section on its recently launched website, ChicOutletShopping.com.

Demonstrating its commitment to the development of the shopping tourism sector, the Travel Industry section of the website, includes a “News and Views” section, featuring travel trade videos, the latest news on trade fairs, new partnerships and products, as well as an industry toolkit with exclusive materials which can be downloaded by registered users to help promote the collection of Chic Outlet Shopping Villages. In addition to providing updates and news for registered media, the dedicated travel trade area outlines the many benefits available to new and existing trade partners, such as API connectivity allowing direct and up-to-date availability and booking option for products, PR exposure and marketing support. Travel Trade partners will also benefit from net rates on products including the Shopping Express services, tourism packages allowing the opportunity to earn significant commissions on sales.

In 2012, the collection of nine Chic Outlet Shopping Villages attracted more than 30 million visits with tax refunded sales generated by non-EU visitors to the Collection growing by 46per cent year on year. China, the Middle East and Russia represented the three largest markets for the Collection respectively.

“As the first retailer to provide dedicated website space and a dynamic packaging opportunity for the tourism industry, this new initiate is a further demonstration of our commitment as a business to promote and develop sustainable shopping tourism across Europe, and soon China,” said Ian Staziker, head of tourism, Chic Outlet Shopping.

Building on the longstanding Chic Outlet Shopping commitment to welcoming overseas visitors, the site is also home to the Chic Travel Portal, where travel agents and tour operators can create travel itineraries for their clients, utilising the VIP Shopping Packages or creating bespoke packages incorporating the full range of Chic Outlet Shopping luxury guest services – including personal stylists, a chauffeur service and the Shopping Express luxury coaches. Additional products will launch throughout 2013 including hotels, regional attractions, gift cards, car hire and rail services.

The new Chic Outlet Shopping website was launched in February 2013 showcasing the Collection of Villages in Europe and introducing the first Chic Outlet Shopping Village in China, due to open in 2014. Using cutting-edge responsive Web Design (RWD) technology, the site unites the Collection of Chic Outlet Shopping Villages under one stylish umbrella and is designed to help visitors explore the Villages with consummate ease – both virtually and otherwise.

The sophisticated new website also incorporates all the necessary tools to help uers plan a visit for either themselves or their clients to any of the nine Chic Outlet Shopping Villages in Europe, or to follow the progress of the Collection’s latest addition , Suzhou Village in China, opening in 2014.

The new website is available in 14 languages and features a dedicated partners page, where visitors can find exclusive offers form international partners including british Airways, Virgin Airways and Etihad.
