ABU DHABI Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) has launched three new digital functionalities – an online map, a flight and car rental search - on its destination website www.visitabudhabi.ae.
Site visitors, who currently account for a daily hit average of 7,000, can now use the online map, built in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre (ADSIC), which features over 400 webpages with dual satellite and vector views, letting visitors identify easily the exact location of Abu Dhabi’s main points of interest.
The flight search functionality compares and displays real-time information from 50 booking engines and more than 25 international airlines in one screen, allowing visitors to find immediately the best fares to suit their travel plans to Abu Dhabi. Visitabudhabi.ae provides the filters and the search, and leaves consumers to decide who to book their flights with.
While easing the planning of trips to Abu Dhabi, visitabudhabi.ae is also enhancing the visitor experience when travelling in the emirate. The easy-to-use car rental search provides real-time information on pricing and availability in multiple languages and currencies, and from multiple providers.
Conceived with travellers’ needs in mind, visitabudhabi.ae is designed as a one-stop-shop for tourists who want to explore the emirate, giving them easy access to interact, in any of eight languages – Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese and Chinese.
The hotel search option aggregates live deals and room availability from over 50 booking engines, giving visitors real-time information prior to their decision to book.
Further enhancements planned for visitabudhabi.ae this year include iPhone and iPad apps and additional social media channels.
