CAESARS Entertainment Corp has announced its $500-million Linq development in Las Vegas, set to open in 2013.

Julie Baum, account director, Discover the World Market for Caesars Entertainment Corporation, said: “The Linq, owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment Corporation, will be the ‘Las Vegas High Roller.’ At 550 ft it will be the tallest observation wheel in the world, taller than the London Eye. Its 28 spherical cabins, each accommodating up to 40 people, can be rented out for private individual and group parties and functions.”

At a cost of $500 million, the Linq project will be located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip between imperial Palace hotel and Flamingo Las Vegas and directly across from Caesars Palace.

Additionally, Baum adds that Caesars Palace opened its Octavious Tower, the resort’s sixth tower. “Like Augustus Tower, this tower is a hotel offering 668 rooms including 62 suites and six luxury villas. This includes a private valet entrance, separate hotel registration and direct access to the give acre Garden of the Gods pool oasis.”

The company also joined hands with Nobu Hospitality to develop the world’s first Nobu Hotel, an innovative concept that will integrate an exclusive hotel tower with the first Nobu restaurant and lounge on the Las Vegas Strip. The interior of the Centurian Tower at Caesars Palace will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation to create the 180–room hotel which will feature six suites and a penthouse with an interior design that showcased natural materials fused with Nobu’s signature Japanese elegance. Hotels guests will also have private check in and the unique benefit of in room dining from Nobu’s acclaimed culinary team.  The Nobu Hotel is slated to open later this year.

Business from the region has continued to grow as the company witnessed a 10 per cent growth in visitors numbers, added Baum.
