Media One Hotelhas appointed GirishBabu as executive chef. Previously he worked for Tablez, a food and beverage company responsible for managing and executing restaurant concepts. Girish is an active senior member of the Emirates Culinary Guild.
Chef Babu graduated in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from Empee College in Chennai, India and continued to study for a Management Diploma in 2009, from The Canadian University in Dubai. He began his career as a trainee in The Trident (Oberoi Group) to covering the various departments in Hotel. Girish expanded his overseas experience when he worked in Spain with two-star Michelin Chef Fernando Canales; he then joined The Carnival Cruise Lines as a Chef De Partie. When he came to UAE, he joined Wafiin Food and Beverage Division gaining experience in various restaurants before move to Arabian Park Hotel & Park Hotel Apartments as Executive Chef in 2006.
