Abu Dhabi agents committed to Travelport

EXTENDING its footprint even further across the UAE, business services provider Travelport announces that it has signed multi-year global distribution system (GDS) deals with three major travel agencies in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain – Irena Travel, Skyline Travels and Al Jaraf Travel and Tourism. The new contracts include an exclusive agreement with Al Jaraf Travel and Tourism that will see a full migration to Travelport’s Galileo platform across its agency network in Abu Dhabi.  At the same time, Al Ain-based Skyline Travels has signed an exclusive agreement to establish Galileo as its exclusive GDS, while Irena Travel has inked a deal that will integrate the GDS for the first time into the agency’s Abu Dhabi operations.

Pay less with Emirates Holidays and Visa

THIS spring, Visa debit and credit cardholders across the region can experience the ancient culture of Egypt or the picture perfect landscapes of France for 15 per cent less, when booking their break to these two select destinations with Emirates Holidays until May 31, 2012. This special offer is part of an on-going partnership between Emirates Holidays and Visa, which offers Visa card holders a 15 per cent discount on two chosen destinations every month, and a further five per cent discount on any Emirates Holidays destination, effective through March 31, 2013.

Discounts are available for bookings paid by Visa credit or debit cards at the Emirates Holidays offices in the UAE and Emirates offices in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt or Lebanon.   Skywards members will receive up to 20 per cent bonus miles when they book these packages. They can also redeem their miles for Skywards Gift Vouchers.

Qatar gets e-Support centre

AMADEUS announced the launch of the Amadeus e-Support Centre to provide travel agents in Qatar with access to a wide range of learning content online. Amadeus e-Support Centre is developed as an easy-to-search site that meets varying learning and technical support needs.

Originally launched in 2008 to provide 24/7 access to Amadeus support services, the portal is now available in six languages and hosts over 50,000 registered travel agency users in more than 50 markets worldwide.

The Amadeus e-Support Centre will offer agents round-the-clock access to a wide range of support materials and content in one site, enabling agents to seek assistance through browsing solutions and searching for cryptic entries or error messages.
