Johannesburg welcomed its first scheduled Emirates A380 service at O R Tambo International Airport. Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, met with Rashed Saif Al Shabi, Etihad Airways' business development manager for Seychelles at a meeting at the Tourism Board’s Bel Ombre Offices to speak about the start of the Etihad Airways flights to Seychelles next month and the airline’s Seychelles Offices at the islands' international airport. Etihad Airways will be the third Middle East Airline to serve the Seychelles route when they launch their operation this November with their four weekly flights from Abu Dhabi, UAE.
